We all love Cinco de Mayo in this town!

Cinco de Mayo—it’s a beautiful day of celebration for those of Mexican heritage, and for others a holiday to celebrate the food and especially drink from this country. No matter how you plan to party, here are all the best Cinco de Mayo fiestas happening in San Francisco this week that you should absolutely make your way over to.

San Francisco Cinco de Mayo Festival

Where: Valencia Street between 21st and 24th Streets in the Mission
When: Saturday, May 7 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Price: Free

And where else would you start your official Cinco de Mayo celebration than in San Francisco’s Mission District? Head out on a beautiful Saturday morning to the 12th Annual San Francisco Cinco de Mayo Festival, a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration that will showcase delicious Mexican and Latino foods, gorgeous dancing and eye-catching artists. There will be a kid’s zoo with balloon fun, a musical petting zoo, and magic tricks in addition to talented local performers taking the stage to perform mariachi, salsa, Latin hip hop acts and more. Gala Under Glass Cinco de Mayo After Party

Where: Conservatory of Flowers, 100 J F Kennedy Dr
When: Thursday, May 5 from 9 PM to 12 AM
Price: $90

Experience this beautiful Victorian greenhouse in Golden Gate Park at night during the Conservatory’s biggest after hours event of the year. Hang out among tropical flowers while sipping festive Cinco de Mayo cocktails, then dance the night away to the sounds of DJ’s on the inside. Entry includes open bar, Mexican fare, and exclusive after hours access to the greenhouse. Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour at Cigar Bar

Where: Cigar Bar & Grill, 850 Montgomery Street
When: Thursday, May 5 from 5 PM to 10 PM
Price: $10; Free to get in before 6:30 PM

Hang out on a heated outdoor patio, sip on tequila and margaritas specials, and have some delicious Cinco de Mayo-themed snacks. Then, dance to a live salsa band early in the evening then get ready to dance to some DJ’s into the night. Perhaps even have a cigar while you’re at it!

2016 Aventine Cinco de Mayo Block Party

Where: Taverna Aventine, 582 Washington Street
When: Thursday, May 5 from 4 PM to 10:30 PM
Price: Free, but an RSVP is required

The annual Taverna Aventine Cinco de Mayo Block Party is back! They will be closing off Hotaling Alley and packing it with outdoor bars, drink specials, live DJs, live music, and food trucks.

Cinco de Mayo Mariachi Party at the Chapel

Where: The Chapel at 777 Valencia Street
When: Thursday, May 5 starting at 5:30 PM
Price: Free

The best mariachi trio in the San Francisco Bay Area are playing at the Chapel, and it’s going to be a party. Catch food and drink specials available like housemade chips and guacamole, delicious tacos, margaritas, tamales, and more while listening to some gorgeous classical playing.

Mezcal Nightlife at the California Academy of the Sciences

Where: California Academy of Sciences at 55 Music Concourse Drive

Thank god Cinco de Mayo is on a Thursday this year, as the California Academy of Sciences is whipping up a special celebration on their acclaimed Thursday NightLife events. For this evening, you’ll learn all about mezcal, drinking delicious cocktails crafted with the spirit around the museum, watch mixology demos by local Mexican eateries like La Urbana and Lolo, learn more about how the yucca and agave plant produce this specialty liquor, and listen to latin and tropical music spun by DJ’s.

Taco-Chella 2016: Cinco de Mayo Lucha Battles & Taco Festival

Where: SoMa StrEat Food Park at 428 11th Street
When: Saturday, May 7 from 11 AM to 9 PM
Price: Free all day

Come for the food trucks serving all kinds of tacos (bacon, flying Hawaiian, Indian—you name it!), stay for the Lucha Libre wrestling show at 12:30 PM. As for drinks will also be agave wine watermelon margaritas, strawberry sangria, Mexican beer on tap and more. Too much deliciousness!
